How to Check If Your Car Is Compatible with Linkifun Devices

Before purchasing a Linkifun wireless adapter or AI box, it’s important to confirm what type of factory system your car supports. This quick test will help you choose the correct product and avoid compatibility issues.

Step 1: Check for Factory Wired CarPlay or Android Auto

Use an original or certified iPhone USB data cable (or Android USB cable).
Plug your phone into your car’s USB or Type-C data port.
Unlock your phone and wait a few seconds.
Watch your car’s screen:

If CarPlay (for iPhone) or Android Auto (for Android) appears on the screen, your car supports factory-wired CarPlay or Android Auto.
If nothing appears, your car does not support wired CarPlay or Android Auto.

Step 2: Choose the Right Linkifun Product

1. Mini 2-in-1 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Adapter

Your car must support factory wired CarPlay or factory wired Android Auto.
If either one works when connected by cable, the Mini 2-in-1 adapter will be compatible.
This adapter converts your existing wired CarPlay or Android Auto into wireless.

2. AI Box Series (GT8D / GT7H / GT7H3)

These models can work with cars that support:

Factory wired CarPlay
or
Factory wired Android Auto only
If your car only has wired Android Auto, you can still use these AI boxes.

By switching the physical button mode on the device, the Android system can enter through the Android Auto channel instead of the CarPlay channel.

3. GT6 Pro AI Box

Your car must support factory wired CarPlay.
GT6 Pro cannot operate through the Android Auto channel.
If your car only supports wired Android Auto, GT6 Pro will not be compatible.

Important Notes

Make sure CarPlay or Android Auto is enabled in your car’s system settings.
Try a different USB port if your car has more than one.
Use a data cable, not a charge-only cable.

Some vehicles support wired Android Auto but not wired CarPlay — compatibility depends on which Linkifun product you choose.

MT13 Pro Motorcycle Display for BMW - it works!

The device arrived quickly and makes a very good impression.

It works very well with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It fits perfectly into BMW’s navigation preparation and, in my case, also works with BMW’s new keyless electromechanical navigation mount.

The price-to-performance ratio is definitely very good.

I only have a few suggestions for improvement:

- A small integrated battery or a buffered power supply using a capacitor circuit would be a great addition. This would prevent the device from restarting every time the engine is started.
- The USB port should be accessible without tools. This would make it much easier to adjust the connection settings when the device is not mounted on the motorcycle.
- Automatic brightness adjustment would be a useful feature, especially when riding in changing lighting conditions.
- Switching between Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can sometimes take a little while. During this process, the connection is occasionally not established for a short period of time. Improving the switching process would make the overall experience even smoother.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the device and would definitely recommend it. With these improvements, it could become an even better product.

Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Schnell eingerichtet, Drehradsteuerung funktioniert.

מכשיר l10 Works great

I would like to point out that the device is excellent, works as it should, and you can run Android software on the Tesla, as well as watch YouTube, CarPlay or Android Auto, and many other apps. I should also mention their support service, which answered every question I had quickly, and did not leave me until all the problems were resolved and everything worked smoothly.

Excelente pantalla

Excelente pantalla.

A great product that is well worth the price

Only one out there that allows connection to usb port in addition to direct connection to battery. The display is clear and Android auto connection is seamless. Only suggestion i have is to make sure you purchase a usb-A to usb-C adapter if your bike only has usb-C ports. Overall this is a great product that adds a lot of functionality to my bike.
